Founded 42 years ago in Uganda, the African Children's Choir is still on the road showcasing the training it provides children who get to travel the world and stay with host families while abroad. Daniel Tamale, who leads the ensemble, recently told WMNF Tampa’s “Sound Safari” program that for this tour, the choir will do famous church hymns along with traditional African music and drumming. “Our mission is helping Africa's most vulnerable children today so they help Africa tomorrow,” he added.—Ray Roa
