Next month, The Epicurean hosts two installments of its ‘Feast of the 7 Fishes’ dinner, Chef Jon Atanacio’s interpretation of the Catholicism-based, Italian-American Christmas tradition. The dinners happen on Thursday, Dec. 7 and 14 from 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. The first rendition leans towards Spanish-inspired cuisine while the second leans into its Italian roots.
Chef Atanacio says that he has also celebrated this holiday tradition in his Puerto Rican household, and will utilize Spanish flavors in these 7 courses, which include dishes like red snapper ceviche, charred octopus, Key West pink shrimp mofongo and bacalao-crusted mahi mahi.
