Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival

The 12th Annual TBUFF invades Citrus Park from 12/4 to 12/7, featuring about 200 really cool “underground” movies from people you’ve mostly never heard of, produced locally and internationally. Local productions include a documentary about one of Tampa’s cigar industry giants and one of the most ambitious indie fantasy films ever shot here. We’re not sure if anyone famous will show up (it’s happened, mostly by accident), but everyone seemed to enjoy the event without celebrities the first 11 years, and with panels, an Oscars-like awards ceremony and quirky parties TBUFF is a must for lovers of independent cinema.
