More than three decades after she arrived with a self-titled cassette, Pamela Valfer is still among the foremost purveyors of lo-fi, DIY bedroom pop. The Minneapolis songwriter is still on stage, too, most recently touring as a stripped-down trio alongside guitarist Nils Bryan and vocalist Carrie Hensen. Expect quirky samples, pristine vocals and an exemplary display of what can happen when good music gets discovered by a new generation of music fans fed up with algorithmic echo chambers and trendy sounds.—Ray Roa
