If Piebald was a jazz band, it might sound a little like Chance Reynolds. The young Bay area songwriter and drummer has a deadpan delivery and songs that knock listeners out with their irony and humor. Look for Reynolds & co. to play an anxiety-calming new single, “Weeki Wachee Blues,” plus obscure ‘70s jazz covers like “Mermaid” by British composer Alan Hawkshaw and drummer Brian Bennett alongside vibraphonist Eric Zabala and bassist Cooper Madden.
