Interspecies Journey - Dance Performance by The Equus Projects

The Equus Projects is a NYC based dance company created and directed by JoAnna Mendl Shaw, a choreographer who creates site-specific performance works throughout the States and in Europe. The small core of seasoned professional dancers, all trained in natural horsemanship, create work with both ridden and rider-less horses. Their performance sites range from expansive landscapes to intimate indoor arenas. Underlying Equus dancers’ training is the somatic foundation of Physical Listening, a multi-sensory attending that embraces the interspecies perspective.
