"Instrument of Hope" Keeping the Conversation about Gun Violence Prevention on the Main Stage.
The "Instrument of Hope," a trumpet made from bullet casings in response to the Parkland school shooting, promotes healing and conversation on gun violence prevention. Composer Kim Scharnberg leads a discussion with survivors, followed by a concert by the Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association. The event, part of the Warehouse Arts District Association's "Jazz and Politics: Harmony & Discourse" series, takes place at St. Petersburg's ArtsXchange.
