EPOCH marks the opening exhibit of 11 diverse artists transitioning out of the institution and into the endless and unpredictable wider cultural field. These emerging artists are post-internet, post-COVID, and post-election and looking for authenticity and substantive meaning in what feels like not only a turbulent moment but one whose speed and unpredictability are unprecedented. These artists both emerge from and upend tradition. Together they question conventions and envision new horizons for creative expression. Carolyn M.
