Environmental Science x Indigenous Knowledge field trip with Kansas Middletent

Rosebud Continuum will host Kansas Middletent from October 15-19, 2025 for exclusive presentations on indigenous culture and the interconnectedness of humans and nature. Kansas is Lakota Sioux and brings authentic indigenous perspectives and traditional ecological knowledge to help students understand the deep connections between cultural wisdom and environmental stewardship. He started a program called Rising Stars that focuses on recognizing and supporting young, talented individuals within the Lakota (also known as Sioux) community. It highlights achievements in various fields like academics, arts, sports, and community leadership. The phrase is also associated with a sense of community pride.
