Join The Gilded Page bookstore at Palm Harbor Library as we welcome author Timothy Silver to celebrate his newest release, Death in Briar Bottom, the true story of Clearwater native Stanley Altland's death. A mix of true crime, southern history, and personal storytelling--including interviews with surviving Clearwater campers--Death in Briar Bottom shows how the killing of an innocent man epitomized the suspicion of young people and violence toward the counterculture that gripped the nation in the early 1970s. Timothy will be in conversation with local author L.L. Kirchner, author of Florida Girls.
