CHUCK OWEN & JAZZ SURGE with Special Guests, at New Tampa Jazz Nights

The Jazz Surge, Chuck Owen's 19-piece band that is one of the most distinctive large ensembles in the music, celebrates their 30th Anniversary for two nights with very special guests at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center. With 7 cd's (and 7 Grammy nominations) on their resume, the band welcomes trumpeter RANDY BRECKER (Sept. 25) along with drummer/composer TERRI LYNE CARRINGTON and vibraphonist WARREN WOLF (Sept. 26) -- and vocalist KATE McGARRY both evenings. These unforgettable concerts open the season of New Tampa Jazz Nights, produced each year by the Center and the Tampa Jazz Club.
