Central Ave. Live: Celebrating Tampa’s Music History and Hope For Future Tampa Musicians

When: Tue., May 21, 5-8 p.m., Tue., June 18, 5-8 p.m. and Tue., July 16, 5-8 p.m. 2024

Music acts as a placemaker and teacher as part of a new live music series launching at the Encore district. Organized by the nonprofit Instruments 4 Life, together with Tampa Downtown Partnership and Tampa Housing Authority, the show features close to a dozen of the Bay area’s brightest instrumentalists and songwriters to perform songs by legends like Ray Charles, Etta James, Tampa Red, and Billie Holiday who all have ties to Tampa.
