Art Conversation – Remixed: Florida Artists Look at Art History

Join us for an engaging and interactive discussion at the Robert W. Saunders, Sr. Public Library. Joanna Robotham, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Tampa Museum of Art, will present a talk on Florida artists Pepe Mar, Mernet Larsen, Purvis Young, and Theo Wujcik. Inspired by art history, the artists create unique artworks that demonstrate the influence of Old Master painters, the Russian Avant-Garde, the Impressionists, and 20th-century trailblazers. This presentation will highlight how contemporary artists have created a union between the past and the present in their works of art.
